LECTURES
For this project, we were told to create a self-portrait that would express ourselves, feelings and thoughts into the artwork. Dr. Charles emphasized the term "contemporary forms of self-expression". That means before I start creating, I need to understand "who I am". Because a self-portrait can be in any form, it may not look like me, but it will be my symbol,my work will be my self-portrait
PROJECT 1
First of all, I think the first step in understanding myself is to understand how I look. In my opinion, my most prominent feature is the long hair that I have for Cassidy(a character in overwatch), Because the recognition is not very high, I brought myself a cowboy hat in the draft

I really love my eyes,its beautiful. the basis of everything people judge by their eyes. I like the starry sky, because the city I live in cannot see the starry sky, so I went to the prairie to see the starry sky once when I was a child, and I still have a fresh memory.So I want to reflect the starry sky in my eyes
I like the tranquility of the starry sky, so I always run to the top of the building alone at night. Although I live in a city where you can hardly see the stars, I still enjoy the tranquility. The distant galaxy can't fit in the eye, so I let it overflow from my sight

REFLECTION
This exercise is a bit easier for me than the last time, after all, I am someone who looks in the mirror from time to time, but it is a very interesting attempt to create self-portraits in this way. During the creative process, I also found that I did not know myself as well as I thought.
